“Kill Me Three Times” is an Australian black comedy crime thriller film directed by Kriv Stenders (“Red Dog”).
The film takes place in a small coastal Australian town, where Alice Taylor (Alice Braga – “Elysium”, “The Rite”) lives with her bar owner husband Jack (Callan Mulvey – “Miss Meadows”, “Captain America : The Winter Soldier”).
Alice has plans to leave Jack and run off with her lover, mechanic Dylan Smith (Luke Hemsworth – “The Anomaly”).
Across town, meanwhile, Jack’s sister Lucy Webb (Teresa Palmer – “Cut Bank”, “Take Me Home Tonight”) and her dentist husband Nathan (Sullivan Stapleton – “300 : Rise Of An Empire”) have plans to pull off a life insurance scam.
Into this mix comes professional hitman Charlie Wolfe (Simon Pegg – “Hot Fuzz”, “The World’s End”) with a job to do, and Bruce Jones (Bryan Brown – “Cocktail”) a corrupt local cop looking to make a quick buck.
The whole story is told in three acts, from three different perspectives of the same time period, presented one after the other – “Kill Me Once”, “Kill Me Twice” and, of course, “Kill Me Three Times”. As you might expect, there are lots of things going on, which gradually become clear as you watch through the events from each perspective. There is much more to the eye of each character than you might initially think. Great fun…
